How to change a community member's Display Name

How to update the display name of any community member that appears on the TippyTalker's app.

The display name is the name that appears on the TippyTalker's app (iPad or tablet) for each member of your community. Only the Community Owner can make this change, so make sure you're logged in with the correct account before getting started.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Log in as the Community Owner: using your email address and password.
  2. Find your profile: on the welcome screen, tap the TippyTalker image.
  3. Open your settings: tap the icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
  4. Tap "Manage Community": This will show you a list of all members in your community.
  5. Select the individual whose display name you want to change.
  6. Update the display name: at the top of their profile, you'll see the Community Display Name field. Tap it and type in the new name.
  7. Tap "Save" to confirm the change. The updated name will now appear on the TippyTalker iPad or tablet.

Things to keep in mind

  • Only the Community Owner has permission to change display names. If you don't see the Manage Community option, check that you're logged in to the correct account.
  • The display name change will be reflected on the iPad or tablet the next time the app refreshes or is reopened.
