Why am I being asked to pay a subscription?

If you're being prompted to pay for a subscription, don't worry, this is a common issue that's easy to resolve.

This typically happens when the app is opened and a sign-up is attempted before your TippyTalk welcome email has been received. When this occurs, the app interprets the action as a new subscription request rather than an account activation.

Here's how to fix it:

  1. Check your email inbox for a message from TippyTalk with the subject line "TippyTalk Account Activation". This email contains the email address you'll need to use to activate your account. Also check your spam or junk folder if you don't see it in your inbox.
  2. Open the TippyTalker app and tap "Sign Up".
  3. Enter the email address listed in the Account Activation email. It's important to use this exact address, as it is linked to your account.
  4. Complete the sign-up process: this should activate your account without prompting you for a subscription payment.
